A traditional path of learning with Amazon Master Plants

Master Plant Dieta
Plant Dietas are a cornerstone of Amazonian plant medicine traditions. They are a process of learning directly with a Master Plant through quiet, guided fasting, intentional isolation, and ceremony, under the supervision of experienced Indigenous healers. At Planta Maestra, all dietas are held in the Peruvian Amazon, supported by Kokama and Shipibo lineage holders with decades of apprenticeship and ceremonial experience.
This page is designed to help you understand what a dieta is, who it is for, and how the process works in a safe and grounded way.
What Is a Master Plant Dieta?
A dieta creates the conditions for a plant teacher to work at emotional, physical, and energetic levels. A dieta is not a shortcut or a trend. It is a traditional apprenticeship that requires commitment, respect, and proper guidance.
A typical dieta includes:
- Guidance from an experienced Indigenous healer
- An opening and closing ceremony
- Simple, clean meals prepared specifically for the dieta
- Personal boundaries that help you stay focused
- Time for rest, reflection, and integration
- Continuous support from a trained facilitation team
