Comunidad de Pucallpa, Indiana, Iquitos, Loreto, Peru
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These Booking Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking of and participation in any retreat, ceremony, or program offered by Planta Maestra Ayahuasca Healing Center (“Planta Maestra”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By placing a booking, paying a deposit, or attending a program, you (“the Participant”, “you”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
Please read them carefully. If anything is unclear, contact us before booking.
1. Bookings & Confirmation
1.1 Enquiries and bookings are made primarily via WhatsApp (+51 926 009 544), email, or our contact form.
1.2 A booking is only confirmed once we have received your agreement to these Terms and a deposit (see Section 3) and you have completed our confidential intake and health-screening process (see Section 5).
1.3 Places in our retreats are limited and intentionally kept small. Dates are reserved on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis. We cannot hold a place without a deposit.
1.4 We reserve the right to decline or withdraw a booking where, in our reasonable judgement, a program is not suitable or safe for the applicant (see Sections 5 and 6). Where a booking is declined for health-screening reasons before arrival, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
2. Programs & Pricing
2.1 Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) and are per person, based on shared jungle accommodation. Private accommodation may be available on request, subject to availability and a possible additional charge.
2.2 Prices and program inclusions are subject to change. The price applicable to your booking is the price confirmed in writing at the time your deposit is received.
2.3 The specific ceremonies, dietas, and activities included in each program are set out on our Ayahuasca Retreats page. Program elements vary by duration and are guided by the healers; the exact pacing and content of any individual’s process is determined by the healing team in the interest of safety and depth.
3. Payment & Deposit
3.1 Deposit. A deposit of [insert amount or %, e.g. USD $300 or 30%] is required to confirm your booking and reserve your place. The deposit is applied towards the total cost of your program and is treated under the refund provisions in Section 8.
3.2 Balance. The remaining balance is payable [insert terms — e.g. in cash (USD) on arrival at the retreat center, or by bank transfer / other method no later than [X] days before the start date].
3.3 Accepted payment methods and any associated transaction fees will be confirmed at the time of booking. Any bank, transfer, or currency-conversion fees are the responsibility of the Participant.
3.4 Failure to pay the balance by the agreed date may result in the cancellation of your booking and the loss of amounts already paid, in line with Section 8.
4. What’s Included & Not Included
4.1 Included in all programs:
- Round-trip airport pickup in Iquitos
- River boat transfer between Iquitos and the retreat center

- Ayahuasca and other ceremonial practices as outlined in your chosen program

- Daily on-site support from facilitators and the healing team
4.2 Not included:
- International or domestic travel to and from Iquitos
- Travel insurance
- Personal expenses outside the retreat program
- Optional personal items or services not listed in the program
- Optional medicines (for example, Bufo) are not included in the program price
5. Health, Eligibility & Screening
5.1 Participation requires a reasonable level of physical and emotional stability. Working with Ayahuasca and other master plants is a powerful process and is not suitable for everyone.
5.2 Mandatory screening. All Participants must complete our confidential intake and health-screening questionnaire before a booking is confirmed. You must answer honestly and completely.
5.3 Disclosure. You are responsible for disclosing your full and accurate medical history, including but not limited to: heart conditions; high or low blood pressure; epilepsy or seizures; liver or kidney conditions; diabetes; respiratory conditions; pregnancy; and any current or past mental-health conditions (including psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or recent suicidal ideation).
5.4 Medications. You must disclose all medications and supplements you are taking. Certain medications — including, but not limited to, antidepressants (such as SSRIs and MAOIs), and some other prescription drugs — can be dangerous or life-threatening in combination with Ayahuasca. You must follow all preparation and tapering guidance we provide, and you should do so only under the supervision of your prescribing doctor. Never stop or change prescribed medication without medical advice.
5.5 Preparation. You agree to follow all pre-retreat preparation guidelines (including dietary and lifestyle restrictions) provided to you before arrival. Failure to follow these guidelines may affect your eligibility to participate and your safety.
5.6 Right to decline participation. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and at any time (including on arrival or during the retreat), to decline or discontinue a Participant’s involvement in any ceremony or activity where we believe it is unsafe or inappropriate. No refund is given for ceremonies or days not completed for these reasons where the cause relates to undisclosed information or non-compliance with guidelines.
5.7 You acknowledge that Planta Maestra is a traditional healing center, not a medical or psychiatric facility, and that our team does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Nothing on our website or in our communications constitutes medical advice. You should consult a qualified physician before participating.
6. Assumption of Risk & Informed Consent
6.1 You understand that Ayahuasca, San Pedro (Huachuma), Kambo, sacred tobacco, master plant dietas, and related practices are traditional Amazonian plant medicines that can produce intense physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual effects, including but not limited to vomiting, purging, diarrhoea, dizziness, temporary disorientation, and strong emotional release.
6.2 You understand that the retreat takes place in a remote jungle setting accessible only by river, far from urban centers and conventional medical facilities, and that travel, wildlife, climate, and the natural environment carry inherent risks.
6.3 You voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks and assume all such risks. You confirm that your decision to participate is made freely, of your own informed choice, and not on the basis of any promise or guarantee of any particular outcome.
6.4 We make no guarantee of any specific healing, therapeutic, spiritual, or other result.
7. Participant Conduct & Responsibilities
7.1 You agree to follow the guidance and instructions of the shamans, facilitators, and healing team at all times, particularly during ceremonies.
7.2 You agree to treat the land, the traditions, the staff, the healers, and fellow Participants with respect.
7.3 Alcohol, recreational drugs, and any substances not approved by the healing team are strictly prohibited before and throughout the retreat.
7.4 We reserve the right to require any Participant who behaves in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to themselves or others to leave the retreat, without refund (see Section 8.4).
7.5 The retreat is located in an area with little or no mobile reception and very limited internet. You accept these conditions as part of the environment and the work.
7.6 Your participation in any program is offered on the condition that your behaviour does not impede the experience, safety, or well-being of any other Participant. Your agreement with Planta Maestra is also subject to our Code of Conduct [insert link], which forms part of these Terms.
8. Cancellation, Changes & Refunds
By the Participant
8.1 Your deposit secures your place and reserves the dates of your program. Refunds (if any) are determined by when you cancel, as set out below.
8.2 Cancellation before arrival. If you need to cancel before arriving at the retreat center:
- 7 or more days before your scheduled arrival date: you may receive a refund of 50% of the total amount you have paid. We begin preparing for each Participant’s arrival well in advance — including transport, accommodation, staffing, food, and other logistical arrangements — and these preparations involve costs that cannot always be recovered.
- Less than 7 days before your scheduled arrival date, or no-show: no refund will be provided, as the expenses and preparations for your stay will already have been incurred.
8.3 After arrival or once the program has begun. Once you have arrived at the center and the retreat has begun, or once you have taken any medicine, no refund will be issued under any circumstances. This includes situations where you choose to leave voluntarily — for example, because you do not wish to continue with the medicine, change your mind, or decide to end your participation early.
8.4 Removal for conduct. If you behave in a way that disrupts the peace, safety, or well-being of other guests — whether during ceremonies or while staying at the center — we reserve the right to remove you from the retreat and arrange your transfer back to Iquitos. No refund will be provided in these circumstances, and any additional transfer costs may be charged to you (see also Sections 7.4 and 10.2).
8.5 Rescheduling. Where possible, and if you notify us at least [X] days before your start date, we will try to transfer your booking to an alternative date within [e.g. 12 months], subject to availability. We cannot guarantee a transfer and reserve the right to limit transfers to one occasion.
8.6 We strongly recommend that all Participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, curtailment, medical care, and emergency evacuation.
By Planta Maestra
8.7 In the unlikely event that we must cancel a confirmed program for reasons within our control, we will offer you the choice of an alternative date or a full refund of monies paid to us. Our liability in such cases is limited to the amount you have paid to us; we are not liable for any other costs you incur (such as flights, transfers, insurance, or other expenses).
9. Force Majeure
9.1 We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the program due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, flooding, river conditions, fire, epidemic or pandemic, government action, civil unrest, strikes, transport disruption, or the unavailability of a healer due to illness or emergency.
9.2 Where a force majeure event prevents a program from going ahead, we will, where reasonably possible, offer an alternative date or a credit. Refunds in these circumstances are at our discretion and may be reduced by any non-recoverable costs already incurred on your behalf.
10. Travel, Documents & Arrival
10.1 You are responsible for arranging your own travel to Iquitos, and for holding a valid passport, any required visas, and any recommended or required vaccinations.
10.2 You are responsible for arriving in Iquitos on or before your program start date so that the airport pickup and river transfer can take place as arranged. Missed transfers due to late arrival or changed travel plans are your responsibility, and any additional transfer costs may be charged to you.
11. Liability
11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Planta Maestra, its owner, healers, facilitators, and staff accept no liability for any loss, injury, illness, death, or damage to person or property arising from participation in the program, save where such loss is caused directly by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11.3 You agree that you participate voluntarily and at your own risk, and that you are responsible for your own decisions, conduct, and wellbeing throughout the retreat.
12. Privacy & Confidentiality
12.1 Information you provide during booking and screening is treated as confidential and used only to assess suitability, ensure your safety, and deliver your program.
12.2 We respect the privacy of all Participants. We ask that Participants likewise respect the confidentiality and privacy of others sharing the retreat.
12.3 [If you maintain a separate Privacy Policy, link it here.]
13. Photography & Media
13.1 Out of respect for the work, photography and recording during ceremonies are not permitted unless expressly authorised.
13.2 We will not use any image or testimonial that identifies you for marketing purposes without your consent.
14. Governing Law
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru, and any dispute arising from them or from your participation will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Iquitos, Loreto, Peru, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
15. Acceptance
15.1 By paying a deposit and/or attending a program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Booking Terms & Conditions, the assumption of risk in Section 6, and our health and conduct requirements.
